POINTR-2MMobile Violation Measurement and Detection System

Electronic Enforcement on the Move

POINTR-2M is a Mobile Violation Measurement and Detection System that collects license plate and vehicle information from a moving enforcement vehicle and enables conditions adversely affecting traffic order to be identified.

It identifies conditions such as parking violations, illegal stopping, and emergency lane use, and performs corridor and junction monitoring using mobile cameras. License plate, type, make, and color information for detected vehicles is transferred to the central software together with geographic coordinates.

Mobile Violation Measurement and Detection System

POINTR-2M is a mobile electronic enforcement system that detects surrounding vehicles while in motion using cameras and in-vehicle processing units installed on an enforcement vehicle. Two cameras mounted on the right side of the vehicle, one facing forward and the other rearward, capture vehicles at the roadside or within traffic flow from different angles.

The resulting records are sent to the ANPR Central Software via FTP. The system is compatible with Turkish National Police license plate recognition/EDS standards and can automatically request additional information from the POLNET vehicle inquiry service. Enforcement can be carried out dynamically on roads, corridors, and junctions as required, without being limited to fixed camera points.

Records are transferred to the ANPR Central Software via FTP, where they can be queried, displayed, and reported. When a violation is identified, the relevant process is managed through the EDS infrastructure.

System Components

01
Enclosed IP Cameras
Mounted on the right side of the vehicle, one facing forward and one rearward; they generate license plate, type, make, and color information. Their protected design supports operation under mobile and outdoor conditions.
02
POINTR-2M Enclosure
A vibration-resistant custom enclosure containing image processing units, processors, power units, connectivity components, and backup energy units.
03
Power Units and Backup Battery
Supply energy to the hardware; backup batteries support continuity and record protection during brief interruptions.
04
Panel PC
Displays real-time camera images, recently detected license plates, and system status; the operator selects the operating mode from this interface.

What does POINTR-2M do?

Mobile electronic enforcement extending beyond fixed enforcement points.

Mobile Electronic Enforcement Moves together with the enforcement vehicle to perform mobile enforcement across different roads, corridors, and junctions.
Mobile License Plate Recognition Detects vehicle license plates while moving and generates vehicle type, make, and color information.
Multiple Violation Types Supports detection of parking, illegal stopping, and emergency lane violations, as well as corridor and junction monitoring.
Geographic Coordinate Recording Detections are evaluated on a map together with location, route, time, and camera direction.
EGM and POLNET Integration Operates in compliance with EDS filing, database, and inquiry standards and obtains additional information automatically from POLNET.
Web Interface and Archive Records are displayed, queried, and periodically reported through an HTML5 web interface.
Penalty Notice and PDF Archive Penalty notices can be transferred to the EGM system and stored as PDF files.
Scheduling Routes, times, and modes can be scheduled for weekly and monthly EDS violation detection activities.
